The Federal University Dutse (FUD), is one of the nine universities created by the Federal Government of Nigeria in 2011. The university’s campus is located in the ancient town of Dutse the capital of Jigawa State.
The Federal University Dutse exits to cultivate learning, develop knowledge, and foster free exchange of ideas. The University focuses on a strong tradition of distinguished scholarship, research, teaching, and service that is grounded in a commitment to increasing and disseminating scientific, humanistic, and social knowledge for the benefit of larger society.
The Federal University Dutse excels in educating men and women for competence and character. We will realize this vision by combining teaching and scholarship of high quality with exemplary leadership at all levels. Admission Requirement for Undergraduate Programms
Prospective students would need to satisfy the following general requirements before they are offered admission to the University.
Prospective candidates must have obtained a minimum of Five (5) passes at Credit level in the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE or Equivalent) conducted by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) or the National Examinations Council (NECO) in not more than two (2) sittings, including a pass at credit level in both English and Mathematics and other subjects relevant to the candidate’s chosen field of study. They would then be required to register and write a test (Post -UTME) which is conducted by the University.
